What to do about it
Answer after hours
Most missed calls land outside the hours someone sits by the phone. Forward the line to whoever is on call, or to a service that books the job for you.
Text back every missed call
A text within a few minutes keeps the caller from dialling the next name on the list. Say who you are and when you will call.
One inbox for calls, texts and forms
When the phone, the website form and the texts all land in one place, nothing waits in a tab nobody checks.
Count them for a month
Pull the missed-call log from your phone system and count. The number is usually higher than the guess you typed above.
Questions
Why does the share you miss matter so much?
It multiplies everything else. Halving the share you miss halves the jobs and the revenue lost, with no change to how many calls come in or how well you close them.
What counts as a missed call?
Any call a customer makes that nobody answers live: rings out, voicemail, busy, after hours. Count a voicemail as missed even if you call back, because many callers have already booked elsewhere by then.
Where do I get the four numbers?
Your phone system or carrier shows calls received and calls missed for the month. The booking rate is how many answered calls turned into a job. Job value is last month's revenue divided by jobs done.
Does the calculator store anything?
No. The arithmetic runs in your browser and nothing you type leaves the page. There is no account and no email gate.
Is the result what I would earn by answering every call?
No. It is the revenue the calls you miss would carry at your current booking rate. Some callers would not have booked, and some you call back still will. Treat it as a ceiling to work toward, not a promise.

Answer picks up the calls you miss.
Your phone rings while you are under a sink or up a ladder. Answer picks up the calls you forward to it, tells the caller it is a virtual assistant, asks what you would ask, and books the qualified ones into your Google Calendar. Anything it cannot handle goes to a person you name.
