How to use them

  1. 1Type your details once

Put your first name, business name and link in the boxes at the top. Every template on the page fills in as you type.

  2. 2Pick a category

Review requests, appointment reminders, missed-call replies, estimate follow-ups, seasonal reminders. Each one is written for a different moment.

  3. 3Copy and send

Copy drops the filled text on your clipboard. Paste it into your phone, your CRM or your dispatch software.

  4. 4Change the words

Swap in how you actually talk. A text that sounds like you gets a reply; one that sounds like a vendor gets ignored.

The rules, in plain words

Four habits keep your number from getting blocked and your business out of trouble.

  • Get consent before marketing texts

Reminders about a job the customer booked are fine to send. Seasonal offers and tune-up pitches are marketing, and you need the customer's written or recorded yes before the first one. Keep a record of when and how they agreed.

  • Send during business hours

A text at 7am or 10pm reads as spam, and federal telemarketing rules limit when a marketing text may go out. Send during your own opening hours, in the customer's time zone, and you stay inside the line.

  • Honor STOP the same day

Every marketing template here ends with “Reply STOP to opt out.” When someone replies STOP, take them off the list before the next send. Appointment texts about a booked job can continue; marketing cannot.

  • One review ask per customer

Google bans offering anything for a review and bans asking only the customers you expect to be happy. Ask everyone, once, in the same words. One reminder a few days later is enough.

Questions

Are these templates free to use?

Yes. Copy as many as you want, edit them however you like, and use them in any texting tool. No sign-up, no email gate.

Why do some templates end with a STOP line and others not?

Texts about a job the customer already booked (confirmations, on-the-way updates, estimate replies) are transactional and do not need an opt-out line.

Seasonal and maintenance reminders sell a new service, which makes them marketing. Those need prior consent and an opt-out line on every message.

What do the braces mean?

Anything in braces, like {first name} or {date}, is a placeholder. The boxes at the top fill in first name, business and link. The rest you replace by hand, or let your texting software fill from its own fields.

Why keep a text under 160 characters?

Carriers split anything longer than 160 characters into several segments. Most phones stitch them back together, but some do not, and each segment usually costs a separate message credit. Most templates here fit in one.

Can I use these from my personal phone?

You can, but texts from a personal number cannot be shared with the office, do not keep a record of consent, and stop when you are on vacation. A business texting line or a review tool fixes all three.

Stop typing the review ask by hand.

Mark a job done. Two hours later, your customer gets a Google review ask in your words. If they forget, one reminder follows. $127 a month, first location included. No contract.
